Our mission
Our mission is to answer one question:
What is it like there?
We’re building Vibecheck in Bergen, starting with the cafés, bars, restaurants, clubs and venues of one city. It’s for anyone who wants the place that fits the moment:
- a student in their first week,
- a visitor here for the weekend,
- someone who has lived here for thirty years.

The vibe, written from real reviews.
Vibe AI reads what guests actually say and describes each place in plain words — atmosphere, noise level, who it suits — plus the tips regulars give.

Nobody can post a vibe from their sofa.
What we stand for

Real over polished.
A live vibe can only come from someone who is there: a signed-in, verified account whose phone is at the venue, right now. Reviews written on Vibecheck are read by a person before they go live.

Straight about data.
No advertising networks, and we never sell data. Personal analytics and precise location stay off until you say yes, and venues see totals, never names. Our servers run in the EU.

Local first.
We start with one city and go deep: neighbourhood cafés, student bars, the stalls inside a food hall, the sports club down the road — not only the places with the biggest marketing budget.

A fair shot for new places.
A place that opened last month shows up before it has its first review. Being new shouldn’t mean being invisible.

A quiet wine bar and a packed club are both great — for different nights. We describe the vibe so you can pick the one that fits, instead of ranking everything on one star scale.
